About

From the Arthurian lands where Thomas the Rhymer roamed, around the Eildon hills where the faery folk be, travelled the Maker of Curious Creatures on a journey of curiosity..

Where folklore tells of the Elfland Queen and the mystery of the Eildon tree and the stone that now stands where it once grew on the land with harebells around these heathered hills.

And it is told by the sounds of horse hooves & silver bells, Thomas the Rhymer, a 13th centuary Scottish Laird lost 7 years of his own time in the land of Fae deep within these chambered magical hills of old….

And now a long journey later the Maker is found, deep in the Welsh hills where wild woodlands weave, around a land of myth and legends of Merlin, in an old Blacksmith’s cottage of stone and slate.

Where on the banks of the waters of Nant Gochon that run clear over stone and pebble, and winds its way down from its source in the wooded valley above, flowing around rocks edged with moss and old gnarled trees, where Kingfisher and Heron fish at dawn and Otter takes over at night.

It is here you will find the Maker’s workshop, with woodsmoke wafting up through Autumn’s frosted half-bare branches, where in clay, the tapestry of creation begins, and forms of the curious creatures of the woodlands and other realms take shape, this is where realms merge and are discovered through the alchemy of Elf and Fae.

And as the wild whispers through folklore and nature, you’ll find Badger, shapeshifter of earthy dwellings, symbols of protection and wisdom, Mole in its underground chamber, guardians of inner earth and Toad hidden under leaf & stone surrounded by enchantment and sorcery and this is where the Hare runs wild with the winds between the other realms…
